PHILOSOPHY Steffi is a progressive, ballet-expansive choreographer who is passionate about creating opportunities for underrepresented dancers in award-winning works for professional companies, pre-professional academies, and international collaborations. Steffi's original choreography is grounded in extensive cultural and dramaturgical research to eradicate harmful racial stereotypes in classical ballet and create culturally representative works (ex: Steffi's original Turkish Coffee and Chinese Tea in The Nutcracker).
UPCOMING In February 2025, Steffi served as ballet choreographer for the modern vaudevillian production, Combat Cabaret (Scene + Heard, Dublin, Ireland). For summer 2025, Steffi is choreographing five original works to be performed by A Step Above (Vista, California).
RECENT From 2023-2024, Steffi choreographed eight micro-movies for their Masters by Research thesis, The Games We Don't Play: Using game-studies to evaluate the playability of classical ballet as an art form and an industry in the 21st century United States. MAJOR WORKS

ONGOING Steffi created Renversé Ballet as a virtual resource committed to amplifying diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the classical ballet industry --and often choreographs original movement for RB's summer intensives.
