Steffi created
Renversé Ballet as a virtual resource committed to amplifying diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the classical ballet industry — and often performs in short dance films with RB choreographers.

​UPCOMING
In spring 2025, University of Roehampton will engage Steffi as a Visiting Lecturer for classical ballet, and as the Rehearsal Director for re-staging Peter Darrell's O Caritas and Economy in Straitjacket but Still Room for Movement (Scottish Ballet) in collaboration with the Peter Darrell Trust.

RECENT

In September 2024, Steffi was engaged as a professional choreographic researcher under Jo Cork Dance and Digital Research (Arts Council, Develop Your Creative Practice). From 2023-2024, Steffi performed in several University of Roehamtpon MFA thesis productions by colleagues Will Cummings, Julianne Cerreta, Melanie Hilton, Lucy Bennett, Jasmine Canzani, Sara Cristina Silva, and Anthony Wade.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
After several seasons as a classical soloist in San Diego, Portland, and Chicago, Steffi began freelancing principal roles abroad in London, Amsterdam, and Dublin. Recent international principal roles include Odette (
Swan Lake), Gamzatti (La Bayadere), Kitri (Don Quixote), and Myrtha (Giselle). Recent domestic principal roles include Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen (The Nutcracker), and Odile (Swan Lake). Steffi has been featured in original choreography by Arturo Fernandez (LINES Ballet), Luis Martinez (Joffrey Ballet), Drew Jacoby (Netherlands Dance Theatre), Jessica Miller Tomlinson (Thodos Dance Chicago), and originated the Maghreb Queen in The Seven Beauties (US Premier). Steffi continues to enjoy freelance, multi-industry works domestically and abroad.

PRE-PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Steffi began ballet at 7yoa, and by 17yoa became a principal artist for the Southern California Ballet. Steffi completed rigorous education in the Cecchetti Method Ballet, earning Honors in all exams (Grade II - Advanced II, Teaching Certification II), ultimately representing the United States in the Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competition (Calgary, 2008). Formative teachers include Margaret Swarthout (Royal Ballet), Ahita Ardalan (Paris Opera Ballet), Lynn Cox (Atlanta Ballet), and Erin Derstine (Hubbard Street Dance Chicago). Additional training includes contemporary, modern, character, flamenco, jazz, hip-hop, and tap.
